Shares in ASA, which provides microfinance to female entrepreneurs across Africa, jumped to £2 after an unscheduled update said that both underlying and net profit will exceed consensus expectations. The 2025 full year outlook remains positive with improved business and financial performance, robust client demand and loan portfolio growth.  Cavendish has upgraded net profit forecasts by 31% to US$56m (EPS: 43.1 cents) implying year-on-year eps growth north of 60%! For 2026 it has upgraded net profit by 25% to US$62.4m (48 cents). Cavendish’s price target is 335p but this is now a far stronger business. They may have almost doubled since last June’s main write-up, but the shares are still cheap and have the legs for much more. ...
