A tough year for homewares brands owner Ultimate Products as a combination of strong prior year comparatives, supermarket over-stocking, weak consumer demand and Red Sea freight spikes meant full year revenues fell 6.5% to £155.5m and pretax profit declined 14% to £14.4m. Higher tax meant eps fell 20% to 12.3p. Recent difficulties should be seen through the prism of its remarkable 10 year record; from 2014-24 turnover itself tripled from £49m to £155m, while EBITDA soared from £1.5m to £18m.
