Scapa continues to track ahead of its Covid plan with revenues for the six months ended 30 September in industrial tapes and healthcare said to be only 22% and 23%, respectively, below last year. It’s quickly reduced costs while net debt has fallen to £21.8m, down from £54.4m at FY’20, helped by the £31.6m raised by the placing.Numis notes improving market conditions in the industrial side, offset by expected subdued woundcare performance in healthcare. Interestingly, it says most of Scapa’s industrial peers, such as 3M, Nitto Denko and Intertape Polymer, are back trading at pre-Covid levels, reflecting the resumption of construction and industrial manufacturing activity around the world.
