Tough trading conditions meant Ultimate Products saw sales reduce 6% for its first six months.    The UK, its home market, remains “subdued due to weaker consumer demand for general merchandise” with sales down 14%, although this was offset by international sales up 12%. Apparently, it’s at the wrong end of the unwinding of the air fryer bubble with sales of that product down 46% to £5.2m. On top of these demand pressures the group faced elevated freight costs in H1, albeit it has improved so far in H2.
