Final results from industrial threads business, Coats, were ahead of expectations with revenues up 29% year on year to US$1,504m (Investec forecast: US$1,432m). Operating profit grew 75% to US$193m (Investec: US$190.3m) with eps 6.8 cents. Revenue exposure to Russia and Ukraine is less than 1%.Apparel & Footwear (A&F) grew sales 33% over FY’20 (and 5% above FY’19) in line with historic 2-3% growth trends. Strong momentum seen in November and December has continued into FY’22, aided by restocking and timing of holiday periods.
