Serabi’s shares have surfed gold’s remarkable rise above US$4,000 / oz and have gained 101% since my main write-up in April at 144p. Interims on 28 August showed that while mined output fell 16% year-on-year, gold production rose 15% to 20,500 oz while analysts believe it’s on track to meet full year guidance of 44,000 oz.  At Coringa, gold grades are expected to improve in the second half as the Melo zone reaches its full production. However, ground conditions have been more challenging than anticipated, impacting costs short term but not grade. The Palito plant continues to perform strongly.
