Bloomsbury Publishing - Upgrade cycle continues

This time last year I made Bloomsbury Publishing a front-page write-up at 550p and the shares almost immediately roared to new highs of 744p before pulling all the way back to 564p amidst the Trump tariff maelstrom. At the time of my write-up I noted the company was on a hot streak after forecast EPS upgrades and the company has since made a significantly EPS enhancing acquisition followed on 20th March by an update stating, “Trading for the year ended February 25 is ahead of consensus expectations” and brokers now expect EPS of 37.7p in FY25, rising to 40.8p and then 45.3p in FY27. Publishers such as Bloomsbury are well known for their defensive resilience during periods of economic difficulty and Mr Market has clearly called this one ...
