Fevertree has often been described as a disruptor for taking on and beating the might of the soft drinks establishment (Coca Cola-owned Schweppes) with its premium tonic water and other mixers. The genesis for Fevertree dates back to 2003 when co-founders Charles Rolls and Tim Warrilow worked together to develop a premium tonic water, a carbonated soft drink in which quinine - used many years ago to treat malaria - is dissolved to give a distinctive bitter flavour. Rolls had previously been the director responsible for resurrecting Plymouth gin into a thriving brand by upping its alcohol content and increasing aromatic oils including juniper, he has pulled off another extraordinary feat with Fevertree indian tonic water.
