The shares at one point smashed through £4 before pulling back. Nigeria, the crown jewel and biggest engine, absolutely roared with revenue up 55% as the regulator-approved tariff hikes flowed fully through. East Africa (+27%) and Francophone Africa (+24%) also put in strong shifts. Yes, energy costs are rising and that’s a headwind, but the operational machine is purring: cost efficiencies drove EBITDA margins sharply higher by 2.8 percentage points to a fat 49.3%, while EBITDA exploded 37% to US$3.16bn. Beautiful. Voice revenue was respectable (+10.9% in Q4), but everyone knows where the real fireworks are: Data. Q4 data revenue was up 32%, with full year +40.3% to US$2.53bn.
