Franchise Brands has seen CEO Stephen Hemsley and non-exec director Nigel Wray each acquire an additional 50,000 shares at around 120p following its Q3 update. Pirtek experienced resilient demand for its essential reactive and planned services in most sectors, although project work and other discretionary spend was held back (especially construction and plant hire). Customer retention remains high, leaving it well-placed when markets recover. Within Waste and Water Services, demand for Metro Rod’s reactive services was also resilient while Filta North America delivered further sales growth, supported by higher prices.
