Tarsus - New Mexican joint venture

Tarsus is investing US$5.7m in a joint venture with EJ Krause (EJK), a US-based international exhibitions company. The JV will own two events in Mexico, the larger one being Plastimagen (2013: 17,400 net sq metres), which focuses on the plastics industry and runs on an 18 month cycle with the next event in November 2014. The other event is Expo Manufactura (2013: 4,300 net sq m), an annual metalworking / manufacturing exhibition featuring machine tools and assembly technology. The deal is eps enhancing in 2014 but neutral in 2015. Earlier, Tarsus announced a trading update for the period 1 July to 3 November, which noted that forward bookings are strong and currently 12% ahead on a like-for-like basis.
