Airtel Africa is, quite simply, the African equivalent of Vodafone, providing “low-cost, high-volume minutes” of airtime across sub-Saharan Africa but also layering on mobile data and money transfer services.  Originally a TMI idea at 115.5p in February this year and a front page write-up the following month at 144p, it has enjoyed a terrific run, hitting intra-day highs of 292p over the month.
