OPG has announced that its new Gujarat plant (300 MW capacity) has commenced commercial operations and is expected to make a full contribution as from September 2015. This is slightly later than we expected but reflects the requirement for additional transmission capacity, which is now being made available by the State transmission company. At full capacity its unit generation costs are expected to be lower than at its other site in Tamil Nadu reflecting its larger size, while average tariffs across the group should be around Rs 5.00 per KwH for FY2016.
