Having recently taken delivery of two puppies, I was given a heads up from a friend to take out pet insurance. According to animal charity, PDSA, the minimum estimated lifetime cost of  a dog is between £4,500 – £13,000 depending on the breed, size and lifespan, but in some cases it can top £30,000 when health problems mount and pets don’t come cheap. Bearing this in mind, I met with Richard Fairman, CEO of CVS, which was established in August 1999 to acquire and operate veterinary practices, with well established client bases in their local community.
